School District (LAUSD). In response, Friends of Project 10, Inc., was

WHERE THE MONEY GOES
Approximately 50% of all donations received go into
direct programs for students as listed above. The programs are provided
at minimal or no cost to the students.
An additional 25% of our budget is devoted to producing and
distributing educational materials, conducting workshops and trainings
for school personnel, and maintaining a telephone information line and
Internet Web site. Operating costs are kept to less than 25% of the
total budget.
STUDENTS SERVED
Annually, Project 10 has contact with over 2000
students through the events listed above and through the LAUSD outreach
and support programs (including outreach to school districts outside
the LAUSD and to private and parochial schools).
Although the primary focus of Project 10 is Los Angeles County,
students throughout the state of California regularly participate in
Project 10 events. The Project 10 Web site provides state, national,
and international exposure.
